About the Designer
As a Washington, DC area native, I grew up loving nature and wildlife. I received a B.S. degree in zoology from the University of Maryland at College Park, and although I enjoy working with animals, my true calling in graphic arts became apparent to me a few years later. I have always had a creative streak, and have enjoyed drawing since my childhood. Soon after purchasing my first copy of Adobe's Creative Suite, I was hooked. I knew then that my future was in graphic design and I enrolled in a design program at Johns Hopkins. Upon receiving my diploma, I began my career as a freelance graphic designer and have since worked with a variety of clients in financial services, transportation, publishing, and fine arts. Since 2008 I've been the Graphic and Web Designer at the Arab American Institute in Washington, DC.
When I'm not working, I have many hobbies and interests. I enjoy cooking (I'll grill just about anything), sports cars, marine reef aquaria, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I also have a passion for fly-fishing and photography.
